Before Riding Motorbike Tips

 Here some tips before you ride the motorbike in Bali


1. Warming up

    Due to the importance of maintaining balance when riding a motorbike, then make sure your body and mentally in good health and ready to ride.


2. Riding Gear

a. Helm

    Get used to always use a protective helmet when riding a motorbike, because the head is the most important part of the human body. helmet Straps should be installed and tightened properly to prevent the helmet off when it fell.

b. Shoes

    Use a shoe, is not recommended to use sandals or go barefoot when riding a motorbike, because when the rider must stop relying on their feet to maintain balance so it tends to lose its stability that allows the injured.

Here some tips while you ride the motorbike in Bali


1. Braking

        It's important to use the front and rear brakes simultaneously.

        The front brake should be operated slightly stronger than the rear brake, because the front brake is more effective than rear brakes.


2. Riding on the left lane

        Always use the left lane and be careful with the sudden appearance of a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

        Do not ride along the right side of the road even though no other vehicles from the opposite direction. (Riding on the right path will lead to collisions that could result in serious injury or death).


3. Switching Path

        When you want to change lanes, it is important to signal the direction you are headed for other motorists by turning on the turn signal 3 seconds before.

        Motorists should pay attention to the rear-view mirror, especially checking behind the vehicle before switching lanes.


4. Past the junction

        When turning left or right were in-between is very important for the turn signal light 30 feet before approaching the intersection to provide direction signs that you want to go to other road users.

        Before you change lanes, make sure the security conditions and the traffic situation around you (do not just look in the mirror, because mirrors have a limited view)


5. Obstacles in the Way

Riding a motorcycle in a foreign country can at first be quite a frightening act for even the most experienced riders. Even though driving styles of Balinese riders may vary, the rules of the road are exactly the same as in other developed nations. 

With a little bit of focus and patience, riding a motorcycle in Bali will give you independence to travel, become entirely manageable and an enjoyable experience on riding a motorcycle in Bali.


Driving license
Having the international driving license already in hand will make things easier for you once on the road. It is possible to have one issued here, however the process can be difficult. If you don’t have international driving license be prepared to pay a fine when police stop you.

Traffic
Traffic in Bali can be slow moving and unpredictable, but being patient and taking in the beautiful scenery can become an enjoyable experience. Ceremonies and processions can slow your travels, but do not honk or attempt to overtake – it is a part of Balinese life and can be a wonderful way to experience true Balinese culture.

Car
Car will be sharing the roads and they are known to weave in and out through traffic. Be aware of your blind spots. Proceed with caution through intersections and when making turns. Use your indicators and your horn to keep things smooth.

Roads
Road conditions in some areas of Bali can be less then perfect. Riding a motorcycle at a reduced speed and being on the look out for potholes, road construction and other obstacles are advised. There are very few pedestrian crossings, so be on the look out for people crossing the streets. Also, dogs, cows and other animals can wander into the roadways so keep aware.

Parking
Parking in Bali is surprisingly simple – street parking is acceptable almost everywhere. There will be signs indicating where it is not okay to park so follow these rules and look out for public parking areas or parking attendants to assist you. Many restaurants, hotels and other recreational areas have valet services for a low cost. Parking in a public lot should cost you around 1,000 Rupiah

Directions
Maps are easy to buy and if you need additional directional assistance, do no hesitate to ask a local for help – the Balinese people are notorious for their hospitality. Make note of which direction you are headed in, as most will answer you with a north or south rather then a left or a right.

Police
The most common trouble you can get into is being stopped by the police. Things operate differently here, and when the police stop you, the best thing you can do is be polite and stay calm. The police in Ubud is very strict right now, they often stop tourist in Ubud to check driver license, with out driver license you have to pay Rp. 1,000,000 to avoid that you have to prepare International drive's license or Indonesia driver's license before driving in Bali

Here are some things you need to know how to shop and send the goods during a vacation in Bali.

Before you buy you need to measure the weight of the goods and always check the item, then you will have the idea of how the stuff you can get at home.

If you do not want to spend extra money after buying the goods you can bring it "hand carried" you can put in the suitcase. Surely goods that can fit in luggage are the small size such as a cloth or sarong or shirt. Make sure that you check in advance what the maximum weight of luggage that you can carry on airplane, perhaps an average of 20 kg to 30 kg according to the class of ticket you buy.
